Die Reibfläche der Turbo Groove Sportbremsscheibe ist genutet und geschlitzt. So werden alle Vorteile einer gebohrten Sportbremsscheibe erreicht, jedoch ohne die Gefahr der allseits bekannten Hitzerisse bei komplett durchgebohrten Bremsscheiben einzugehen. Die Turbo Groove Disc ist schwarz beschichtet um einen Korrosionsschutz zu gewährleisten. Aufgrund der hohen Qualitätsanforderungen, die wir an unsere Produkte stellen, werden alle EBC Bremsscheiben vor der endgültigen Marktfreigabe gewuchtet und auf einen eventuellen Seitenschlag geprüft. Ein Großteil unserer Sportbremsscheiben wird bereits mit ABE ausgeliefert.

EBC manufacture many of its rotors in either its own sister company foundry in the UK or in Italy, all rotors are machined and finished in the UK and in the USA. Where castings or finished rotors have to bought in to complement the range, the strictest quality controls you can imagine ensure the safety and quality of the parts we sell. EBC adds value to its products by strictest quality controls and specifications and a 100% run out and dimensional check, plus all USA sport rotors are slotted at the Los Angeles facility of the USA operation. In times when everyone has run off to the Far East and many rotor suppliers are nothing more than brokerage houses, EBC has done its part in every way possible to maintain UK , European and in particular US jobs. We employ 14 people in our USA rotor machining facility alone. Choose from EBC plain non drilled rotors or sport rotors in two choices – wide aperture 3GD series for cooler running or new super silent Ultimax USR slotted series. On a global scale Most EBC rotors are made from British castings and 100% of these are precision machined in either the UK or the USA. EBC Brakes has 14 machining centres in these two countries to manufacture these precision parts. Rotors are made from high quality grey iron to exacting standards and undergo extensive testing and rigorous quality control and are then precision machined to your chosen slot or dimple pattern. The dimple drilled rotor was invented by EBC back in the 90's and has been imitated by many because of its ability to offer pad degassing without “Through Drilling” disc or rotor holes which has been shown to promote rotor cracks. The wide aperture slots on the EBC units actually draw cool air under the brake pad and rotor interface and help cool the temperatures of the pad contact which can shoot up to well over 1000 degrees at the very heart of the brake pad during heavy braking and can cause brake fade or loss of brake effect. These “Full sweep” slots on the EBC Sport Brake rotor also help remove dirt dust debris and water from the braking area but without doubt the main benefit of such sport rotors is their ability to maintain a flat and parallel pad surface throughout the lifetime of the brake pad set.

EBC- Redstuff Bremsbeläge Dieser High-Performance Sportbremsbelag setzt sich aus Kevlar®-Fasern und Keramik Partikeln zusammen, und wurde eigens für hochmotorisierte Straßenfahrzeuge entwickelt. Die Bremsstaubentwicklung ist minimal und der anfallende Bremsstaub lässt sich leicht mit Wasser von den Felgen abwaschen. Es werden keine aggressiven Felgenreiniger benötigt und die Gefahr die Felgen durch Bremsstaub zu beschädigen ist nicht mehr vorhanden. Die meisten EBC Redstuff Beläge besitzen eine ECE R90 Freigabe.

Trotz des relativ harten Bremsbelagmaterials erzielt der Redstuff Belag einen sehr hohen Reibwert (0,5) und sorgt so für mehr Bremskraft und schnellere Verzögerungen bei Ihrem Fahrzeug, ohne dabei die Bremsscheibe übermäßig zu beanspruchen. Bereits bei kalter Bremse wird eine hervorragende Bremsleistung erzielt. Diese verbessert sich zunehmend mit ansteigender Temperatur der Bremsbeläge. Der uneingeschränkte Arbeitsbereich dieses Belags erstreckt sich bis 750°C. Wie alle EBC Bremsbeläge im Automobilbereich sind auch alle EBC Redstuff Sportbremsbeläge mit einer Einbremsbeschichtung, gebrochenen Kanten, einer Hitze-Nut sowie einer Pulverbeschichtung versehen.

As EBC’s flagship street brake pad material for prestige and faster cars above 200BHP the 09 version on EBC Redstuff sets new standards in brake performance. Redstuff has always been known for its low dust ability but the latest blend has greatly reduced the phenomenon of pad “Pick up” or disc scoring and reduced dust even further.

Tested at the UK Motor Industries Research Association (MIRA) in witnessed tests early Redstuff reduced car stopping distance in tests by almost 50 feet from 100 MPH offering a staggering 30% brake improvement.

Redstuff however as a harder compound does take longer to fully bed in to achieve its highest levels of performance (can be up to 1500 miles/2500 Kms urban use) during which time the odd “Chirp” of brake noise may be heard when starting from cold in damp and cold conditions at walking pace speed. One press of the pedal to clear the rotor of any dampness and this disappears to leave EBC Redstuff a pad that inspires confidence in all cars. The motto is be patient give the pads a full chance to bed down. Redstuff is only available for heavier and faster cars and does find its self at its best on slightly heavier cars or Truck and SUV applications. Brake dust has been rated by many OEM builders to be a more serious source of complaints than even brake squeal and as such EBC Brakes is proud to bring you with this new EBC Redstuff blend what is probably a world first in a pad that is almost dust free yet delivers performance braking. Less dust also means less rotor wear and it is almost guaranteed that your rotors will last double as long as when used with the more abrasive steel fibre brake compounds used by almost all of our competition. EBC Redstuff should be used at both front and rear for optimum balanced brake performance.
